This is a view of the mountains from Highway 80 on the way home from Douglas, NM in the late evening.  Another cloudless day with an outstanding sunset.  What a way to come home to PPR.

Above is a unique, but not unusual view, from within the Coronado National Forest only 10 miles from Painted Pony.  This National Forest is near Portal, AZ which is a neat place to to visit; have a cup of their great coffee or enjoy the food.

This Spiritual Renewal Web Page Is Under Construction.

The PPR is a posh desert retreat in Rodeo, NM built to the finest specification and served as the exclusive getaway for a well-known Silicon Valley Software Entrepreneur. This was a place to entertain large gatherings in the serenity and natural beauty of the isolated high New Mexican desert. This now can be your private playground in the desert of New Mexico for your friends, family, and business associates. Under new ownership, you too can enjoy a destination that was envisioned and built for leaving the rest of the world behind.

One of the many tourist sites near The Painted Pony Resort - The Geronemo Monument

In 1886, General Nelson A. Miles selected Captain Henry Lawton in command of B Troop, 4th Cavalry at Ft. Huachuca to lead the expedition that captured Geronimo. Lawton pursued, subdued, and captured Geronimo at this site along HWY 80 between Rodeo and Douglas, NM

This is the famous Rodeo Tavern.  They have great food and atmosphere.  If you like steak, this is the place to go.

The Gadsden hotel in Douglas, NM (50 miles south of PPR) has a colorful past perhaps and splendid architecture. The spacious main lobby is majestically set with a solid white Italian marble staircase and four soaring marble columns. Each capital is decorated in 14K gold leaf-worth $20,000 in 1929.  Road trips are a a must when staying at the PPR.  The Road Trip to visit Douglas is a favorite.
